Residents of Haig Point
The community of Haig Point attracts a diverse range of couples and families – people from all over the world. Our residents are a fascinating group, hailing from as far as New Zealand, Germany and Sweden to Poland, India and Singapore. The majority have lived and traveled all over the world, yet they’ve all chosen Haig Point.
Approximately 100 families are full-time residents, and another 50 spend half the year at Haig Point. There are 250 homes within the development that have been completed or are currently under construction.
Some full-time residents have school-aged children who attend the Daufuskie Island Elementary School, located on Old Haig Point Road. This public school has 17 students, one principal and two teachers, as well as a computer technician and speech pathologist.
