Things to Do

Haig Point/ Daufuskie Island

Activities are endless at Haig Point and on Daufuskie Island. From the exploration of the beautiful beaches and preserved natural habitats, to shopping, dining and dancing -Daufuskie has it all- except it's all a little different. Jump on your golf cart for an afternoon hunting shark's teeth or 500 year old pottery. Stop into the Iron Fish rustic art gallery for an ecclectic sculpture sure to capture your Daufuskie Island experience. Local entertainment, shopping, and low country cuisine can be discovered in sleepy corners of the island.

One of the questions visitors often ask is where and how does one get groceries and other household goods to Haig Point? There are four major chain supermarkets, and two major chain drug stores less than a five minute drive from the Haig Point Welcome Center. Your groceries and other purchases can be offloaded at the Bag Drop and our staff will place it on our ferry and deliver directly to your home. Some supermarkets will take phone orders and deliver to the ferry for a minimal charge.

Additionally, within minutes of the Haig Point Welcome Center, are hair salons, hardware stores, a post office, etc. ...almost anything you need for your household. For mall shopping, there is a wide choice of outlets on rt 278 from Bluffton and on into Hilton Head Island.
