Haig Point's private Equestrian facility offers a range of services and activities for our members and guests to enjoy. On a daily basis we offer private and/or group lessons in English or Western seats, trail riding on beautiful Daufuskie Island, and pony rides for the youngest horse admirers. We also offer full boarding services to any Members who own their own horse.

The Facility

The Equestrian Center at Haig Point is a charming lowcountry facility perfect for private horse owners and trail riders. We have a 12 stall barn complete with tack room, lounge, restroom, office, and wash/ groom stalls. The stables are on 3 acres of property which is tediously manicured including daily pasture maintenance to provide horses with adequate grazing. We have four turnout pastures as well as a riding arena and round pen. We are staffed with Full Time employees 7 days a week to provide our horses and facilities with special attention and care. 

 Daily Equestrian Activities

We offer several activities daily for riders of all ages and experience levels. Instruction is available in English and Western seats in both a private a group setting. Our experienced instructors are available to asses your riding style and abilities and help you to grow as a rider.

We are one of the few places you can trial ride on the beach. Experienced riders enjoy a brisk canter down the long stretch of white sandy beaches. Take a moment to allow your horse to wade in the surf and splash in the tide. In addition to our Bloody Point Beach Trail we have several trails for beginner to intermediate riders that take in the natural untapped beauty of Haig Point and Daufuskie Island.

For the young buckaroos in the family, we offer pony rides and pony lessons. This is a great way to introduce children to horseback riding and the enjoyment horses can bring to one's life.

2012 Kids' Camps

Spring Camps | November 21, 22 & 24

The objective of our Kids' Camp is to provide fun and safe activities for children ages 5-12 years old. This camp includes activities such as horseback riding, golf, tennis, trips to the Bloody Point Beach, naturalist excursions, archery, crafts and more. Camp counselors are CPR/First Aid certified and have several years experience overseeing camp activities.
